• Involvement in and enjoyment of the music by participants is at the core of what we do.
• We place a strong emphasis on the shared ownership of music by the group.
• Musicality, percussive technique, musical context and group dynamics are introduced within
the music

| How we do it... - Initially there is a general introduction to the music and instruments.
- We use progressive rhythm games to focus the group and introduce basic musical concepts.
- We then introduce particular grooves for each instrument and introduce the basic technique needed to play.
- When the fundamentals are established we allocate instruments and begin to play.
- We will also teach some musical breaks and introduce an arrangement for the piece depending on the group’s progress
